About this holiday
The Holy Cave of the Mother is situated at an altitude of 5200 ft. The Yatris have to undertake a trek of nearly 12 km from the base camp at Katra. At the culmination of their pilgrimage, the yatris are blessed with the Darshans of the Mother Goddess inside the Sanctum Sanctorum- the Holy Cave. These Darshans are in the shape of three natural rock formations called the Pindies. There are no statues or idols inside the Cave.
Darshans are open round the clock throughout the year.
Since the year 1986, when the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (commonly called Shrine Board) was formed, the management of the Shrine and regulation of the Yatra has been vested in the Board. The Board has undertaken a number of developmental activities aimed at making the Yatra a comfortable and satisfying experience for the Yatris. The Board continues to reinvest the offerings and donations received in carrying out improvements in various kinds of Yatri facilities.

Day-by-day journey
Arrival in Srinagar
Arrival at Srinagar airport, our representative meet & greet you at Srinagar airport transfer to your Hotel. This Srinagar journey will start with local sightseeing of Srinagar covering Shalimar Bagh, Nisat Bagh, Chasme Shahi, Mughal Garden etc. Overnight stay at Hotel in Srinagar.
Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar
After breakfast, transfer towards In Kashmir Holiday you will proceed for a full day excursion to Gulmarg, Meadow of Flowers ( 56 kms /2 hrs) situated at an altitude of 2730 meters, full day at leisure to take the leisurely walks on the lush green meadows of flowers with a backdrop of the snowcapped mountains. Enjoy pony ride or Gondola ride (rope way) to Khillanmarg at your own cost, Return to Srinagar Overnight in the hotel in Srinagar.
Srinagar - Pahalgam - Srinagar
In Kashmir Today you will be transferred by road to Pahalgam (94 kms/2.5 hrs) Valley of Shepherds. Enroute you will have an rare opportunity to visit the Saffron fields. In kashmir we will proceed for the Beautiful sightseeing of Sonmarg you can visit Baltal Lake & Thaziwas Glacier (at own cost), back to Srinagar, overnight stay in hotel.

After breakfast you can proceed to do some sightseeing or Journey start For Srinagar to Katra.
Jammu / Katra
After breakfast, transfer towards Katra – situated in the foothills of Trikuta Mountains and is base to visit Holy shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi. Drive from Jammu to Katra takes approx 2 Hrs. Arrive Katra and check-in at Hotel overnight stay.
Katra - Mata Vaishnodevi Yatra
After an early Breakfast at hotel, start your journey to Holy Shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi by foot or by pony. The holy shrine is located at 5200ft at a distance of about 14kms from Katra. The journey by foot takes approx 5 to 6 Hrs and by Pony it will take approx 2 to 3 Hrs. Yatra by foot/pony will take you through holy places like Ban Ganga, Charan Paduka, Himkoti and Ardha Kumari. After Darshan of Holy Shrine return back to Katra.
Katra/ Jammu - Departure
After relaxed breakfast at hotel, checkout and we will transfer you to Jammu Airport/ Railway Station or Katra Railway Station for your onward Journey.
