Day-by-day journey
Day 01: Arrival at Delhi - Agra
Upon arrival at Delhi Airport or Railway Station, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and driven directly to Agra, the city of the Taj (243 kms / approx. 4 hours). After check-in and some rest, proceed to visit the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Also visit the majestic Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that served as the residence of Mughal emperors. Optionally, you may visit Mehtab Bagh for a sunset view of the Taj across the Yamuna River. Overnight stay in Agra.
Day 02: Agra - Lucknow
After breakfast, check out and drive to Lucknow (335 kms / approx. 5 hours), the City of Nawabs, known for its culture, history, and cuisine. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and begin a half-day city tour. Visit the grand Bara Imambara, famous for its massive arched hall and the Bhool Bhulaiya (labyrinth). Explore the splendid Chota Imambara, adorned with chandeliers and mirrors. Continue to see the Rumi Darwaza, a majestic gateway that stands as the face of Lucknow. Later, take a stroll at Hazratganj Market, a heritage shopping district. Overnight stay in Lucknow.
Day 03: Lucknow - Naimisharanya - Lucknow
After breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Naimisharanya (90 kms one way / approx. 2 hours each way), one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in Hinduism. It is believed that sages compiled the Vedas here. Visit Chakratirth, a holy water tank believed to be created by Lord Vishnu's Sudarshan Chakra. Explore Lalita Devi Temple, Sutak Ganga, and Vyasa Gaddi, a revered spot where Rishi Vyas is believed to have meditated. Return to Lucknow in the evening for an overnight stay.
Day 04: Lucknow - Ayodhya
After breakfast, check out and drive to Ayodhya (135 kms / approx. 3 hours), the birthplace of Lord Ram and a city deeply immersed in Hindu mythology. On arrival, visit the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi, Kanak Bhawan, and Sita Ki Rasoi. Walk through the ancient lanes and spiritual ghats along the Saryu River, where the evening aarti offers a tranquil and devotional experience. Overnight stay in Ayodhya.
Day 05: Ayodhya - Allahabad
After breakfast, proceed towards Allahabad (Prayagraj) (168 kms / approx. 4 hours), one of the holiest cities for Hindus, situated at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. On arrival, check in and visit the sacred Triveni Sangam, where pilgrims take a holy dip. See the Bade Hanuman Mandir, and view the historic Allahabad Fort (outer view), built by Emperor Akbar. End your day with a visit to Anand Bhawan, the ancestral home of the Nehru-Gandhi family. Overnight stay in Allahabad.
Day 06: Allahabad - Varanasi
After breakfast, check out and drive to Varanasi (121 kms / approx. 3 hours), the spiritual capital of India. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. In the evening, witness the awe-inspiring Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, a deeply moving ceremony with chanting, lamps, and devotion on the banks of the sacred Ganges River. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 07: Varanasi Sightseeing
Begin your day with an early morning boat ride on the Ganges, observing the spiritual rituals at the ghats as the sun rises. After breakfast, visit the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, Durga Temple, and Tulsi Manas Mandir. Later, proceed to Sarnath (approx. 10 km from Varanasi), where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. Explore the Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, and Sarnath Museum. Return to Varanasi for the night.
Day 08: Departure from Varanasi
